i celebrated the coming of the new year feeling like i had been beaten with a baseball bat. every muscle ached. even my eyelids were sore. i caught my roommate's flu. i was feeling so sore and weak that i didn't want to get out of bed to go to the bathroom, so i just peed in my bed. just kidding. today, the first day of the new year, i'm feeling better than last night but i still feel ill.
such a surprise, this illness was. the night of the 30th i felt great; made myself an impressive to-do list for the next day and went to bed feeling like a prosperous day awaited me. then i woke up on the 31st with a scratchy throat - the first sign that i've caught a virus - and by the end of the day i was struggling to stand up with only one thing scratched off my to-do list.
well that to-do list is still staring at me. i want to attack it and scratch off everything on it but my motivation has been zapped. it's already 5pm on my last day off for the Christmas / New Year holidays and i'm just dragging ass. one thing at a time.

Did you eat the foil first and then throw the plate at roomy for passing on his germs?!
I thought you were supposed to be avoiding soda? :p And is that the Korean equivalent of a Wall's Cornetto?
haha ...
yup, i intentionally broke my soda-ban - i wanted something to sizzle on the back on my sore and scratchy throat. i made a concession ... but i have to watch it. it's a slippery slope ...
yes, the ice cream cone in Korea is 월드콘 which translates to "World Cone". In Korea it cost a mere 500 Won at the grocery store but your Cornetto is over 2,000 Won! cheap ice cream is one of the things i already miss about korea and i haven't even left yet!
