waiting for miss right

sometimes you meet a guy and you wonder why he isn't taken .....

i have a korean guy friend who is one of those guys.

the extent to which he is able to exercise his romanticism in english amazes me seeing as how english is his second language, he's never lived in a predominantly enlgish speaking country nor has he lived with native english speakers. when i questioned him on his method of learning, his source for such gems, he responded modestly that he watches a lot of american television shows. i believe they have less to do with his creative word choice than his own beating heart and intellectual mind. i can only imagine the poetry he must speak in his native tongue.

on occasion i'm lucky to be on the receiving end when he exercises his mastery of the skill of being so smooth. case in point, his following email to me:

II. one who's less beautiful as susan

he gets me every time.
