i know people who can reframe 8 times per millisecond, or whenever necessary to get them out of an emotional stink.
i'm lucky if i can pull off one reframing per year. that's a crummy Reframing per Emotional Stink ratio, ES/R.
i perform much better when i seek advice and assistance in the form of a chat with my sister. after getting some sister guidance today i've come to a conclusion that will make me feel better about something over which i'm in an emotional stink. here's my reframing: i'm just going to pretend that i said this:
I’m flattered you want to see me again. I want to see you again too but tonight I have plans. Let’s try to meet again soon.
why not? it's what i think so why not pretend that's what i said? saying no was the right thing to do and now my mind and emotions are aligned and in agreement with the choice i made.

this is my new phrase of the day: rational self-counseling skills.
oh, i just found another phrase i like: unlearn their unwanted reactions and to learn a new way of reacting
