yeah, a good day

• i couldn't see don's wireless network and everyone else in the house could; i could see other nearby wireless networks but not Don's
  
• this sucked b/c he has 100mbps internet service (which he brought with him to this house because he had made a 3 year contract, one year ago); our internet service is only 10mbps and we're thinking of dropping our internet service and just using his cause it's faster.
  
• his wireless router is ZIO, like mine, and i set up his wireless router for him because his network cable port on his laptop is faulty and he couldn't configure his router without direct connection. so it was especially frustrating that i couldn't see his wireless network
  
• today i thought to check if the problem was an incompatibility issue with my wireless network card and his wireless router (x11)
  
• turns out that i had to modify a property in my driver (band selection property) for my wireless card in order to see Don's wireless network.

I'm on a roll today ~~ discovering answers to frustrating situations is so rewarding...

it's been super cold in my room the last 3 days, i even registered a complaint with Halmoni tonight, who upped the boiler temp, .5 C more (gee, thanks!) to 22 C (yet my room thermometer is reading 13 C) and then came up to my room to give my radiator her own personal hand inspection to detect it's warmth and confirm in her own mind that i'm going crazy (because it was way warm to the touch), then she waddled back down the stairs and into her room ... and then i thought about the end of last winter, and decided to check for air bubbles, and out came a long stinky rust smelling fart from my radiator followed by an explosion of brown water pissing straight up and out of the tiny bleeder hole ... mover over air, make room for HOT WATER! back to warmer room temps ~~~ can't wait to sleep tonight. i can taste the warmth.
