everything is okay

Everything is "okay" over here ~ as long as i keep saying that it's "okay" that my email inbox is growing by the week, as is my TO-DO list, as are the stacks of papers on my desk, as is my socializing, as is my cash spending. i'm not reading, journaling, blogging, flickring, yoga-ing, emailing, doing independent learning, or chatting with my mom and sister as much as i was and want to. i'm trying not to feel like things are reeling out of control but suffice it to say, things in my life are moving at a pace that i'm not used to and all my traditional patterns of behavior have been knocked around a bit.

This recent move of mine has set me off my normal beat. I still haven't found my rhythm yet. moving into a house with other people has a lot to do with altering my mojo, as does making new friends and going out more. these days i have very little me-time as compared to the time before moving here. I don't mind the new situation – I specifically wanted to move into a home with others (especially foreigners here in seoul like me); it's like having a built in faux-family-unit while i'm living away from my own family. i'm working on managing the right balance between being with others and being with myself.

and that is okay

That is what it's like to be retired. Only your too young to experiance the feeling and that's not fair.
