caught in the act

i just learned a new phrase:

in flagrante delicto

which according to Wikipedia, means "while [the crime] is blazing" in Latin, or more commonly, caught red handed or caught in the act. i heard it on one of the many crime shows that i like to watch (CSI, LAO, Criminal Minds, Bones, etc).

not that i would use this Latin phrase in lieu of caught in the act but i like fun facts, of which i consider this to be one.

has anyone heard of this before?
