FedEx has a deal for those US residents living in Seoul. They can mail in their 2008 Presidential Election absentee ballots for free with FedEx. but there are only 2 approved FedEx locations in downtown Seoul that offer this and one is on base and unavailable to me. today i went to the other one and the cute FedEx employee in his blue-purple uniform and FedEx cap said mine was the first absentee ballot that he handled. he pulled out the special handling instructions (in Korean) located right nearby and did a few verifications of the packaging slip i prepared according to special instructions i got from the US Embassy newsletter i received last month and within 2 minutes the transaction was over, i paid nothing, and my vote is now on its way home.

You're a credit to U.S. nationals living abroad! Good for you for taking the trouble to go and vote and being the first surely deserves an ice cream or something!
It's funny that you can track your vote on its journey, but I wonder why they don't use a secure electronic voting system.

If you had purchased $1,000 of AIG stock one year ago, you would have $42 left.
